I talked to Joel again on Sat. and he said he found out that the mental
hospital in Penn. had been shut down and that Kari had been transferred to a
nursing home of some kind(he was a little vague on this point) and there
didn't seem to be much more we could do about this situation.
I realize that some of you are skeptical about this material now that you
know the source. I knew that this might cause some problems because of
Joel's reputation and his attacks on several of the members of this
discussion group. I posted this information because I thought there might be
a chance that we could investigate and possibly help an old friend of Reich.
I know how attached old folks have become to the blankets I've made for them
and I can't imagine them ever giving up orgone once they've tried it..
 Here's a note from my new mother-in-law.
"My hands have spent the last two nights muffled up in Ed's so -called
blanket. For some inexplicable reason, it helps remove the ache and
stiffness. Oleta said to tell Ed that her "blanket" is a great comfort.
She-like the rest of us- can't understand why, but she says it is a help.(so
much for the power of the mind over matter)".

She's 93 and sharp as a tack but I suppose any authorities would think the
Orgone Blanket pretty crazy. While Joel was telling me Kari's story, all
those folks I'd made blankets for flooded my consciousness, and I realized
how silly they might sound to someone that didn't understand.

I don't know how to proceed from here. I'm not satisfied with this closure.
 Any suggestions?
Ed
