I'm happy to report the acceptance of Dr. Stefan Muschenich's doctor-thesis:
*Der Gesundheitsbegriff in Werk des Arztes Wilhelm Reich (1897-1957)* ("The
Concept of Health in the Work of Dr. Wilhelm Reich (1897-1957)). paperback, 426
pages, ISBN: 3-922906-54-0. Muschenich is the author of an appendix in Jim
DeMeo's book, *The Orgone Acumulator Handbook". Muschenich ran a double-blind
study proving increased body temperatures in people using the orgone
accumulator.
In Germany, becoming a "Medical Doctor" is more difficult than here in the
states. Dr. Muschenich has completed undergraduate work in psychology, completed
medical school with a specialty in psychiatry, and written the equivalent of a
PhD. thesis. Muschenich's Dr's thesis, centered on the cancer biopathy, has been
accepted by German medical authorities as a unique contribution to the
understanding of science. This is mind-boggling, given the current climate
regarding Reich's work in the US.
One of the requirements for a German MD is to have the thesis privately
published by extortionist university presses. I bought five copies from Stefan,
for $36 per copy, signed by the author. It's all in German, so I can't read a
sentence, but if there are German-readers out there, or collectors interested in
a bit of history, I will send you a copy at cost ($36), plus $3.50 postage. If
you know of any libraries or archives, let me know.
