Oops! Sorry for any confusion that may have resulted from unproofed,
grammatical errors in final paragraphs of my previous post.
I enclose the following replacement paragraphs to clear things up:
Furthermore, as I intended to communicate in my companion posting,
"Greetings, Emotional Plague Sufferers," I think we should be extremely wary
of anybody who attempts to suppress, intimidate, or neutralize those of us
who are open-minded enough to monitor, and comment upon, the dart-throwing
from both sides. Attempting to silence one's critics strikes me as an
especially violent tactic, even if it is done with a highly sophisticated
form of name-calling, like saying one's critics suffer from an "emotional
plague." Such a tactic deserves no respect; I intuit that it exists only in
the
arsenal of someone who may be too arrogant to admit his own limitations.
Will we see an apology? Hah! There'll most likely be rain in the desert
first.
