I know most of us here would rather discuss and write about who is
maligning Dr Demeo and who is maligning J. Carlinsky. I know most of
us would rather read everything written here about cloudbusting as
speaking for or against someone. Nonetheless, I will try once again
to bring the focus to cloudbusting itself. Regardless of the halo
someone has painted over himself there are issues to discuss.

Alright! Alright! I know, who cares? It really does not matter
what we decide or discuss here. This mailing list is such a strange
place. Everyone in the rest of the world knows there is no such thing
as orgone. There is no
such thing as a cloudbuster that can alter the weather. There is no
such thing as an orgone accumulator because there is no such thing as
orgone. Yes, there are weird things with long tubes and metal boxes,
but nothing more.

But here on this mailing list we do not spend all of our time
debating the credibility of such devices. Amazing place this is.
This is the only "place of communication" in the world for me where
those listening do not immediately fall down laughing uncontrolably
whenever I mention orgone energy. Except for the Conference on
Orgonomy in Nice, France in 1990 or 1991?, where I met Dr DeMeo, or
the scientific meetings of the American College of Orgonomy, I have
seen, heard, or spoken with NO ONE who did not need to immediately
help me to clear my mind of my foolish adherence to beliefs in orgone energy.
Once I leave these conferences I become a "fool believer in orgone"
again.

No, I did not shake Dr DeMeo's hand and introduce myself. He gave a
hour talk (maybe two of them) and I was in his presence when he was
talking to others and we briefly talked about his orgone accumulator
book. I like him. I cannot say that about J Karlinsky.

None of this has anything to do with discussing the use of the
cloudbuster. The matter of how "evil" or how "saintly" either of these
protagonists is has no bearing on the use of the cloudbuster. Does
anyone here make up his/her own mind?

What does matter is if Dr DeMeo does his best to end and limit all
discussion. What does matter is if "all uses" and "all results" of
the cloudbuster are good and beneficial, no matter who does the work.
If all results are good and beneficial then J. Carlinsky is dead
wrong. If we could learn anything about the use of the cloudbuster
by discussing it here, then Dr. DeMeo is dead wrong. (Because he has
determined that all discussion here is merely the workings of the
Emotional Plague, which we all know is bad.)

Also, since the cloudbuster is as phoney as "orgone boxes" to the
rest of the world, there will be no regulation of them. Anyone can
build one and sell his services to anyone who will pay. No matter
what we discuss here the use of the cloudbuster will be determined by
the capitalist system (maximization of money to the operator-owner of
the cloudbuster and the person who wants the weather changed.)

I suppose there are plenty of "ghouls" who will revel at the power in
their hands when they see that they can change the weather and sky
with their toy cloudbuster. Wouldn't it impress your girlfriend?

I also suppposed there will be many self-appointed "saints" who will
strive to do whatever they consider to be the best for humanity with
the cloudbuster. What would the Ayatola do that is "best for
humanity?" or Sadam Hussein?

I am more interested in more mundane matters. If I perform a
cloudbusting operation and the rain on the roads leads to some
accidents, should I blame that on the drivers? If some homes are
flooded out, should I blame that on the fools who built there or the
government who put them there? Should I say that "any other
storm could have done the same thing?"

Should a cloudbuster operator turn a desert into a lush green forest
killing all the desert life there? Should a cloudbuster be used to
maximize the number of people on the earth? Remember when there were
no cars? People were saying that a car would give them more
"freedom" than ever. Then those foolish people moved to the suburbs
and could not get to work without a car. The car became another mouth to
feed in order to stay alive. And then it spread tetra-ethyl lead every where.
Now we cannot support our population without gasoline machines. Now we
dislike the noise and other polution. Now we dislike the oil spilled
all over the world.

Do we want to use the cloudbuster to create a situation where people
cannot survive on the earth without them? Do we want to create
swamps to promote things that live in swamps? Do we want to keep
deserts the same size they are now without allowing them to grow? Do
we want to shoot down UFO's with them?

What is a legitmate use of a cloudbuster? To provide rain for my
farm? To allow the population of Africa to grow to 10 or 20 times
what it is now? To turn our enemies (Iran, for example) into a
desert or a swamp?

This might be my last attempt a dragging the discussion away from J.
Carlinsky and Dr DeMeo. I have lots and lots more to say about the
use of the cloudbuster. I think that anyone who thinks that these
thoughts are only a symptom of the Emotional Plague is wrong.

For the person who claims a cloudbuster is harmless and can be used by
anyone with only the best of harmless results I have the following:

I have a copy of the Weekly Climate Bulletin from the Climate
Analysis Center or Washington DC (Branch of the United States
Department of Commerce) dated Jan 4, 1992 ---the period of
cloudbusting in the Middle East?---- which lists several sorts of
devastation due to unusual weather conditions.

I can quote the whole thing if necessary. Is it copywrited? I do
not know. Here is some.

"A New Years Day storm brought torrential
rain, and high winds to parts of the Middle East, forcing roads,
schools, and businesses to close, according to press reports. In
Isreal, the storm dumped 172 mm of rain on Tel Aviv, flooding
streets, while 450 mm of snow blanketed Jerusalem, blacking-out a
fourth of the homes by knocking down power lines. ..... In Lebanon,
smow blanketed Beirut for the first time in 40 years, damaging the
old infrastructure of the country, cutting telephone lines, and
downing high-tension power cables. The storm paralyzed many cities
in the region, including Damascus, Syria and Amman, Jordan. Heavy
snow also caused avalanches in southeastern Turkey, killing 22
people.... the unusually chilly conditions have been blamed for 12
deaths ..... "

Is this the period of time in question when there was cloudbusting
going on in the Middle East? Who reads Pulse of the Planet?

Those who argue that the effects of the weather are harmless are dead
worng.

Mike C.
