I am new to the oml. I don't know the whole background for this demeo,
carlinsky, martin, jogg, and others debate on cloudbusting. There is much
less I know about cloudbusting but it seems that if the cloudbuster works
than it is dangerous and beneficial in the same breath. I don't see jogg's
comments as a vendeta against demeo or martin. He has been expressing concerns
about the effects of cloudbusters as have several others on the oml. It
does appear that Martin is expressing anger in the tone of his dissection
of the words used by jogg. I would like to know what jogg published about
Martin or by Martin and where it was published that has infuriated Martin.
What is the big deal?
There are so many other positive things being expressed on OML that I wish
to say to all those in this demeo, carlinsky, martin, and jogg debate on
cloudbusting; to stop your analysis of personalities and move forward and
direct yourselves to issues. You all lower yourselves by doing otherwise.
Some examples of personality analysis and etc. of persons in the accountability
post to oml:
1. In fact, what I have done, for the most part, is ask you questions that
you seem unwilling or unable to answer directly.
2. Once again: you have publicly maligned a noted, serious scientist, saying
DeMeo has caused damage in his operations.
3. calling DeMeo's operations "primal scream therapy" on the
atmosphere
4. To use a business metaphor, it is you who have run up some outstanding
charges, while I am just a bookkeeper trying to
track down the accounts receivable.
5. you have confused legitimate concern about cloudbusting work with the
calculated machinations of the emotional plague,
6. Bill was an artist, and a fine one. He had a great sensitivity to life
energy functions, but he was not a scientist.
7. You are really blowing smoke here.
8. Jogg: the reality is that, although I'm sure you're a well-intentioned
person, it's evident that you haven't the slightest
idea of what you're talkingabout.
9. I for one do not want to be part of an elite mailing list for only those
that are allowed to be members.
10. There is a very deep conflict in what you are saying and what you are
doing.
11. I described your refusal to continue our private exchange, while making
public statements about me, as alienated
behavior.
12. While I have pointed to behavior, examined statements critically, I
ask anyone to point to one example
of "name-calling"
13. I think anyone who accepts that orgone energy exists without conducting
their own experimentation, or at least
carefully examining the studies of serious published work, is indeed an
*idiot* (but I wouldn't want to call anyone names!) So let's start there.
Can we all grow up a bit in comments. In the above it includes Martin and
Jogg.
Number 13 above attacks all of us and it stirred me the most. We can be
*indeed an idiot* but that is not name calling?? It sure is delivered as
name calling if I ever heard one. I must be an idiot because not only haven't
I done experiments in orgonomy but I havn't done any in the regular sciences
either. I believe electrons move in wires and that atoms exist yet I have
never scientifically proven them to exist. Am an idiot for that belief?
How about believing that the earth turns and not the stars and sun around
the earth. I haven't proven that to myself so am I an idiot to believe
that the
earth rotates. Even if I read from the so called authorities in science,
does that mean they are right. The earth was believed to be flat, the earth
was said to sit still, all things revolved around the earth, continents
do not move, the universe was created in 7 days, the mind and body are
separate,
blood suckers cure disease; these are all things that science held as facts
at one time and some still today by some authorities. Must I be a true
idiot to believe that the body and mind are one without proving it through
experiments? All of us do not have the capacity to do experiments on
everything we believe. Can we be sure what we read to be true documentation.
To believe Reich's work you must not believe other authorities. Who
is right?
I have to follow my instincts to discern truth for myself. Instincts aren't
proven but we use them.
I believe the orgone accumulator works since I can feel different sensations
in it that I do not feel sitting in a cardboard box but I haven't done
the experiments to prove this. I see what is discribed by Reich as orgone
but I have heard other scientists state that is is dirt in the eye, it
is white blood cells magnified from the rear of the eye, and other explinations
that vary wildly. Who do you believe
as authority. Yes the orgonoscope is a great tool to factually verify it
but still other scientist will say what they say as well. I haven't proved
it but I believe that I can see the orgone. And the orgone doesn't increase
when I am sick. The scientist who stated it was white blood cells, also
stated
that as verification of his theory.
I DO NOT CONSIDER MYSELF TO BE AN IDIOT but it appears that I must be in
the
eyes of Martin. Please don't call us idiots and be more contructive or
considerate in your name calling.

To put people down to raise your self or others up is distasteful. To criticize
others actions without personal name calling can be constructive criticism.
Lets not induce the armoring or armoring reactions of OML members by name
calling. We all have armor.
